turn for the worse

I have no idea what happened to me yesterday, after I finished lunch I sat down for a minute as I was like ok let me digest this and then I'll try my latin cardio workout because its windy as hell outside.

And I got soooo tired like exhausted can't move my arms, dead tired, like chronic fatigue tired so I lay down on the couch figuring I could hear an email come in and I had the phone next to me. And I passed the fuck out for like an hour!! woke up drowsy as hell and starving (WTF) ate 3 squares of dark chocolate , that was a bad idea because it did nothing to make me not hungry, then had a small bowl of honey nut cherrios w/ skim milk


Sat down on the fell asleep AGAIN woke up at like 5. made sensible dinner that we ate @ 8ish

Sweet potatoes rubbed w/ chipolte , little olive oil & salt, roasted whole
Sauteed Kale
Chicken cutlets w/ fresh bread/parm coating, shallow sauteed with olive oil

was very good about portion control 

by 9 X  was asleep on the couch and at @ 9:30 ( I know this because I was watching 30 rock) I was hungry again so had a yogurt w/ some uncle sam on it figured that would stop whatever nonsense is going on;

He went to bed @ 10:30 I stayed up watching My Best Friends Wedding of all things but I could not fall asleep, now I wasn't tired at all, watched SATC half way through found myself in the fridge again the leftover small cutlet was calling me ( I do have a weakness for cold chicken cutlets and cold meatloaf, the way some girls are about cookies or chocolate layer cake, thats how I am about these two things) so I ate that too.

Halfway through the second episode of SATC, I tried to go to bed, partially because i've seen this one soooo many times and its not my favorite Carrie is waaay too squeaky in it and I can't understand why Baryshnikov would want to be with such an annoyingly neurotic squealing person. Also I don't like the way they dress Samantha in the later episodes she looks deranged. 

So i try to go to bed and i swear I had like restless leg syndrome or some thing could not get comfortable at all...soo got up and went back to the couch with blanket and pillow. And watched TV I went in and out os sleep and at 3;30 woke up again HUNGRY! so I had a cheese sandwich which consisted on a 2" pieces of cheddar broken in pieces over two slices of bread.

I went back to the couch fell asleep again , woke up at 5 and got into bed and went to sleep only to be woken up 2 hours later by a cat.

And here we are..I am having a glass of the cleanse lemonade and have a lunch mtg at noon at mission grill.

Steamed broccoli w/ balsamic vinegar
half a roll

this morning
@ 9 cup cantelope cubes

@ 9:45 green tea
2 slices multi grain bread toasted w/ monterey jack cheese (2 thin slices) & sprouts

@1
leftover whole wheat pasta (w/out mussels but with some tomato, garlic & olive oil) w broccoli & some ground bison tbs grated parm

and so it goes

Post hair cut had a fresh turkey sprouts w/ mustard on multi grain sandwich

@5:30 1 glass red wine, 1 wheat beer

Dinner @8ish Vietnamese:
 
1 glass red wine 

3 grilled beef wrapped w/ grape leaves
1 quail

All the salad and half the rice noodles and most of the chicken from #62, grilled chicken w/ vermicelli & salad

@ 10 3 squares from a bar of dark chocolate


@ 3am 1/2 cup watermelon, 1 square chocolate


This morning;
1 cup mango chunks
3/4 cup brown rice & veg with added cup 0f broccoli & 1 egg

EXCERCISE HAHAHAH!! @ maybe 40 min stepper w/ arms things and 2 sets chest puls, 2 sets  triceps, 2 sets biceps and maybe 25 sit ups


Lunch

The left over 3 small slices of chicken from last night, the left over few slices of pork from X's 

2 slices turkey w/ avocado on 1 slice bread

apple.

Yesterday & this morning

Here's what I ended up eating yesterday, and it was hard to stay focused I went to whole foods after having eaten the equivalent of a large salad in 3 days ...and there were plenty of tempting treats esp in the prepared food section. But I was determined to a) not spend $200 b) not vary from my list c) not to undue what I have started. Still they had these melty cheese things..but I didn't get them or any of the creamy pasta items or the fried chicken.

Did change my list a bit:

Got soymilk in place of rice milk
Did not get blueberries or pears or pineapple
Got Watermelon, cantalope & pink grapefruit
3 bananas
2 mangoes
2 avocados
forgot ginger
got two russet potatoes
didn't get ground turkey it was just too expensive, got ground Buffalo instead..seriously I did
Brussel sprouts in place of fava beans (they didn't have any)
forgot the frozen edamame
got chicken stock instead of veg stock

got a whole bunch (like 6) frozen burritos for X to take to lunch
2 packets instant miso soup
some fancy whole grain cumin/cayenne crackers
2 bars dark chocolate
1/2 gallon 2% milk
1 packet of Vegan Korma simmering sauce ..Indian is really hard to do from scratch 

Fish : Frozen mahi mahi, live mussels 
Chicken: boneless/skinless breasts
didn't get black beans  because I like goya the best
Dozen large brown organic eggs

So the list on the previous post plus these changes/additions $140 which I think is pretty good for whole foods.. esp since I didn't not notice till we checked out the the damn broccoli sprouts were $5.. $5!!!!!!! and the stupid grapefruits were $1.50 each. And this with my pantry easily a week and a half worth of food for both of us

@ 1;45 sandwich made from two small pieces whole  grain bread, quarter an avocado, handful of broccoli sprouts & a thin slice monterey jack cheese

@ 4: 30  some watermelon

@7 : 00 1 whole wheat cracker w/ sheeps milk cheese

@ 7:30 1 see above but with 2 pieces of crisped baked kale (new best thing ever)

dinner @ 9pm 1 cup brown rice mixed w/ vegetables (carrots & onion) made w/ chicken stock, 1 cup steamed kale w/ baked crispy kale crumbled over it, 1 fried egg,  piece of butternut squash (small 3" x 1")

1 half glass red wine

this morning

1 glass lemonstuff

1/2 cup watermelon cubes
2 eggs whites w/ 1 tbs sheeps milk cheese & 1/2 cup kale

1 glass Irish breakfast tea.

Recipe...sort of

Crispy baked kale

Version 1:

Use Lacinato of Dinosaur kale ( the long dark green kind)

Spray with oil, sprinkle with sea salt
lay pieces out on a baking sheet and bake for @ 20 min @ 350 till crunchy (maybe longer my oven is very hot)

Version 2

Julienne the Kale (either kind) toss in a bowl with olive oil, enough to barely coat, sprinkle w/ sea salt, spread out on a baking sheet and 20 min @ 350

Sea salt makes this taste kind of like toasted seaweed ..nori..Yumm

Since I threw all our food out I have to start anew:

so much for the master cleanse!

X did not do so well on this son we kicked it to the curb, I however feel really good except for the odd pain in my right kidney, so in place of no food,  like yesterday...missed the best day ever to have brunch, but oh well we did save at least $200 by not going to brunch or eating or drinking for 3 days

yeasterday:

1 qt salt water

6 glasses lemon juice grade b maple syrup cayenne pepper

1 cup peppermint tea
1 cup smooth moove

Today

1 qt salt water
2 glasses of lemonaid stuff

@ 12..X calls it off

1 handful RAW almonds
2 cups (shelled) edamame

dinner tonight:

Brown rice /fish/kale/butternut squash

I am officially sick and tired of being fat, because it has made me sick and tired, 
i felt better this morning than i have in a long  time and I have to get it together now before its to late;

Cleansing fast day 1

Im starting my fast with 1 day of mostly raw food:

So here we go
 slept till 11:30

Breakfast : half a green apple, glass of v8 with fiber

3;00 most of other half of apple , 1 tbs almond butter, 1 glass of carrot juice w/ lemon ginger & grade b maple syrup

I would very much like to eat about 5 pieces of fried chicken right now.

Dinner plan: More v8, salad with beets, frisee, lemon juice & raw almonds tomorrow starts the lemon juice only part..whoa. but I think if I can do this I will accomplish something and will be able to get back to where I was years ago..healthy, in shape & flexible.
